Biografy
INEZ Gavilanes grew up in a music-loving family where it was natural to listen to all kinds of music and her fascination from an early age made her realize that it was music she wanted to focus on. As a teenager she took singing lessons and attended a music school and though INEZ had a brief flirtation with the guitar she quickly realized that she was just too impatient to learn notes.
INEZs road towards her debut album accelerated when she met, and teamed up with Cane Morgan, the co-writer on her album, including the first single: Stronger. This was INEZs breakthrough and landed her the record deal.
The trademark of INEZ is the rough and sexy voice. A trip to South America some years ago left INEZ with a love of the language, and with a taste for salsa and Latin lovers. This source of inspiration has led her to occasionally spice up her lyrics with Spanish phrases - and this period of her life is reflected in her songs, many of which recount her experiences from this trip. Most of her lyrics reflect stories and feelings from her own life, past relationships and episodes that has marked her. But INEZ is not afraid to invent a good story either. Did it really happen like that? Who knows?
